    Lighting Designer

    Mumbai, India (In-Office | Remote Role)

    We are looking for Lighting Designers to join our Mumbai studio and become part of our growing ambitious team creating thoughtful and engaging lighting experiences across hospitality, retail, commercial and public environments. This role is for someone who enjoys both ideas and execution someone who can move between concept storytelling and technical detailing with equal curiosity.


    You will contribute across the design process: developing concept presentations, producing lighting layouts and details, preparing specifications, and helping transform early narratives into built environments. We value designers who think creatively, communicate clearly, and care about how people experience space.


    What you’ll bring

    •  Experience in independent architectural lighting design preferred with 1-2 years’ work experience with an understanding in lighting design across architectural, interior and landscape design projects. 
    • Undergraduate degree or higher in Lighting, Architecture, Electrical Engineer or related field
    • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
    • Working knowledge of DIALux is essential
    • Knowledge in Adobe suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and MS Office
    • Understanding of visual storytelling and presentation skills
    • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or similar software would be beneficial but not necessary
    • Working knowledge of 3D modelling software is a bonus


    Responsibilities:

    • Complete all phases of project lighting design from the original conception, to final aiming and lighting controls programming
    • Provide lighting design solutions appropriate to client brief, budget and relevant standards
    • Participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams
    • Prepare presentations to clients
    • Develop technical lighting proposals including calculations, product research, fixture evaluation, mock-up coordination, and performance validation.
    • Produce and document the lighting design via CAD layouts, lighting details, light fixture schedules, lighting control specifications
    • Attend progress meetings of at project site and issue field reports to design team
